Parties and Drinking…
I just finished writing a post about teens and drinking, so I thought that it was only fair that I do the same for us. We don’t have to worry about the age thing anymore… I wish, but we do have to think about the empty calories and the damage to our waistlines. Here’s what I came up with…
Learn to say no at parties. As long as it isn’t a Margarita, I’m good. If someone is handing out Margaritas, then I’m in trouble, but back to the topic. There is no reason why you can’t enjoy a party with a diet soda in your hand. No one has to know that there is no alcohol in the glass and then there all of those goodies that usually make up the buffet table. What you do is fill your plate with low calorie munchies. I’ve done it a million times. Okay, I usually allow myself one thing that is most likely in the chocolate family. But just one little taste and I’m usually happy!
