Okay… Today a Window Fell Out
I was hoping that all of the things that could go wrong with house were behind us, but apparently not. Today (Monday) Britt opened a window in the loft and the window fell out… straight down three floors to end up on the grass below. Wouldn’t you know that it would have to be a holiday and I can’t get a hold of anyone to replace the window. I left a message with the builder and now I just have to wait and see.
So, here’s hoping that it doesn’t rain tonight. I wonder if this could be Feng Shui related??

Did the window break? Get a canvas or tarpolin to cover it from the outside, if it’s to hard to access I can give a free tip, it’s what I used when my car was hit in the rear of the shopping centre recently and I lost my back window (took 8 weeks to get a repairer to fix it as well). Go to your local hardware or homegoods store and buy a vinyl/ plastic shower curtain, preferably a clear one that’s got a reasonable level of thickness, buy a roll of of electrical tape, cut shower curtain to fit the window (with overhang) and tape it up, works a treat and keeps the weather out.

Thanks Duncan. Took your advice and covered up the hole in the wall the best we could. Luckily the builders showed up with a temporary replacement. Now when they will come back to finish the job is anyone’s guess.

Good grief! Glad no one was standing on the lawn! And hey, at least there was a lawn for it to fall on. heh.

WE have half a lawn. They haven’t gotten around to putting sod down in the front yet. We are also supposed to get a 12 foot tree, a cobbled walkway, a rockery and something else. It’s been so long I have forgotten. I think they did too!
Well, it’s keeping me in stories for Daily Jots lol… Stay tuned for what goes wrong next!

[…] Well, I had one of those dreams a few nights ago. I dreamed that a window fell out of our house and landed on one of the little guys who always manages to come into our yard to play. I won’t go into the gory details, but you can just imagine what would happen if I window fell from an upper storey window and landed on you. It wouldn’t be a pretty site. Well, guess what. My dream came true… minus the little guy. And I even have an update on the story! […]

Yes, at least the window didn’t land on anyone or anything. Guess that wouldn’t be much of a consolation if there’s been a raging gale blowing at the time.
And I ’spose these things give us plenty to talk about (and laugh about further down the line).
And stay positive - ‘Stay tuned for what goes wrong next!’ - no, no, no that’s not the attitude! Think positive thoughts and believe that things will go right from here on in!
