Yes, it’s National Cotton Candy Day but I have to admit, I don’t know how this particular holiday ended up in December. If you think about it, cotton candy is usually, pink or blue. Now if someone could come up with red and green cotton candy, well, then I think that munching down of this sugary fluff would be very Christmasy!

Chin Deep in Bubbles is about all the little luxuries that you can and should experince everyday! My favorite has to be the recipe for French Patisserie Spa Brownies… it’s just full of all kinds of decadent ingredients and if you can’t get decadent at Christmas time, when can you??

Yes, I know that it is freezing cold… at least where I live, so I’m not sure that I will be eating any dessert that is cold. I’m thinking that I should just go and change the holiday to something like Apple Crumble Day… a hot dessert. If your feet have been driving you nuts the last few days, it’s because it’s today’s holiday. Mine have been doing just that. There will be days when absolutely nothing is wrong and then straight out of the blue, my ankle will suddenly give out and I can’t walk on it. I wonder if it has anything to do with all the Christmas shopping that I have been doing lately??

Yeah, that’s what today is. I can remember a time when every home owned a box full of buttons and when kids were bored, they were handed the box. Those buttons could keep them occupied by the hour. Sadly, I don’t think I know anyone who owns a button box.
So, what do you do with all of your buttons? And if you manage to find a ton of them throughout the house, you just might be able to make yourself some interesting jewelry! There just might be a designer in you that is looking for a way out!

Believe it or not, it’s Sharpen Your Pencils Day. Now think back to when you were in grade school. Do you remember that you were issued two pencils and each had your number taped to the bottom. One you were given to use for the day and the other, sat at the back of the room in a wooden holder, waiting to be sharpened. Don’t ask me why, but I just loved it when the teacher said that it was my turn to sharpen the pencils. That would be about 30 pencils to be sharpened and I GOT TO DO …read more

Well, you can make of this what you will. It’s National Nut Day! For me, that just might tossing caution to the wind and ordering a Macdonald’s sundae. Okay, I can’t eat the whole thing, but I did sample a caramel sundae topped with nuts, and it really did taste rather amazing! Hot fudge is coming to mind simply because it’s turning out to be rather a miserable day, and watching a movie beneath a cozy blanket and eating a hot fudge sundae covered with crushed nuts, doesn’t seem like a half bad way to pass the day!

I would have expected this one to come in sometime during December, but apparently not. Today’s is Brandied Fruit day, which leads me to the question, just how stuck on fruit cake are you? I for one can’t imagine a Christmas going by without a big Christmas cake for dessert. And it has to have marzipan and tons of nuts.
