A lot of people might not agree with me, but I think that if you can make writing fun for kids, a lot more of them just might find that they enjoy it. My two think of writing as work! Somewhere along the line, they missed the fun part!

When I was a kid, my parents owned a little convenience store at a lake and each day my sisters and I were given 25 cents to spend on whatever we wanted in the store. I remember what I bought vividly… a bottle of Coke and a bag of corn chips. That was definitely a summer to remember! And both for just 25 cents!! Can you imagine what that would cost now?? Did you ever read comic books when you were a kid? I was never a big fan, but I do think that I read Archie. There were a couple of girls in that storyline right?? A Veronica comes to mind, but that’s about all I can remember.
I wonder how much one of the early Archie comic books would be worth now? I know that Britt has a box full of really old ones that someone gave to her. She might be sitting on a gold mine and not even know it!

When was the last time you stepped out of your shoes and walked through a puddle? The little three year old that lives next door did just that a few days ago and it looked like she was having the time of her life. The only thing she forgot to do was take off her flip flops which of course… got stuck in the mud. So what did she do?? She went into her house and came out with new flip flops a few minutes later.
