You’ll see I’ve included all the steps you’ll need to create a story full of surprise and suspense. Read through them, and start making notes for your mystery.”

And we know that the brainstorming part is the most fun. Sometimes, I would rather do the planning and then hand it over to someone else to write.

What is the imagination?

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

Not a BoxI am imagination. I can see what the eyes cannot see. I can hear what the ears cannot hear. I can feel what the heart cannot feel.

Peter Nivio Zarlenga

What would life be with it?? But I have to ask… have you lost some of it along the way? I seem to have had tons when I was a kid, but somewhere along the line, logic took over. Now that’s hardly fair. I am going to have to set aside a little time for some old fashioned day dreaming. Haven’t done that in a long time either!

What was the last thing you day dreamed about?

Did you dream last night?

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.
Gloria Steinem

Do you believe that your dreams mean something? Could it be that your dreams are trying to tell you something?? There has to be some reason we dream don’t you think??

“There is no universally agreed-upon biological definition of dreaming. The dogma states that dreams are associated with REM sleep but the evidence for this is not strong. Subjects awakened during REM sleep usually report having been dreaming but since REM sleep is not as deep as non-REM sleep, it would be expected that dreams are better remembered but not necessarily more common during REM sleep. Some neurologists even group mental phenomena such as daydreaming under the umbrella of dreaming.”

During a typical lifetime a person spends about 6 years dreaming (which is about 2 hours each night.

What do you dream about and did your dreams ever come true? My daughter has the most amazing knack of dreaming about the future.

Anybody can become angry

Controlling People: How to Recognize, Understand, and Deal With People Who Try to Control You Anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody’s power, that is not easy.

Aristotle

So when was the last time you flew off the handle? I have a tendency to keep things bottled up and then I blow! Not a good habit.

If you want to write…

Monday, December 18th, 2006

If you want to write you have to be willing to be disturbed.
Kate Green

Actually, I do some of my best work sitting in a coffee shop. I tend to like the hustle and bustle that is all around me. I guess it comes down to what works best for you. Now the odd thing is that I can’t work at home with the radio on.

Definitely weird!

Britney on Madonna bandwagon?

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

...Baby One More Time [ENHANCED CD]
“Despite already having two young children on her own, Britney Spears is reportedly considering adding another addition to her young family.

The pop star has allegedly hinted that she would like to adopt an underprivileged African child, after witnessing the goodwill of her mentor Madonna.”

What do you think about all of this celebrity adoption? Do you think that it is a publicity stunt, they are actually interested in the welfare of the children or are you still sitting on the fence about this one??

Thought For the Day

Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy Revised and UpdatedWhen you are in a miserable mood, wonderful things happen. Like yesterday for example. Nothing was going right. The day was cold and dreary and I wasn’t in the mood to work and then right out of the blue, I hear my doorbell ring. That annoyed me even more because I thought that it had to be workman showing up unannounced to fix/break something else in the house. I very nearly didn’t answer the door. But I was in for a wonderful surprise.

At the door was my mom and my Uncle Stan. The had driven at least three hours to surprise me with a visit. It was more than enough to turn my day around, so I guess today’s message is… always look for a silver lining, because chances are it’s there. You simply don’t know when and where it will show itself.

Just Be You

Burnt Toast: And Other Philosophies of LifeSometimes that’s all you have to be. We spend so much time trying to be something we are not while underneath, we have so much to offer. It seems that it is just too easy to be fake. All of those celebrities that annoy you at the moment… I wonder what they are really like?

You have to feel a little sorry for those twenty something actresses who are trying so hard… not to get left behind.

Cat in Garden

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open. ~Jawaharlal Nehru ~
