When I first read about this, the first thing I thought about was loyalty. Doesn’t that exist any longer for celebrities? Are they quite content to let people help them and then show them the door when they are no longer needed? And then I read this…

It sounds as if Rock and Republic is doing the same thing. She helped them to build up there name and now they don’t need her?? It’s kind of sad to think that loyalty has gone out the window, but maybe that is how the business world works, I don’t know?? I do hope that we don’t see that happening in the “real world” if you can call the life of a regular person… the “real world”. Sometimes I don’t know anymore.

“Step 4: Do You Need To Read CD-Rs?
Most DVD players will not read CD-R discs. If you have an absolute requirement to have your DVD player play back these discs, then you will significantly limit your choice in DVD players. Many of the name brand DVD players will not read CD-Rs. Many of the cheaper brand players will.

If CD-R playability is important to you, then make sure that you test this with a CD-R disc before buying a DVD player, or at least confirm with a reputable source that the DVD player that you intend purchasing does play CD-Rs.

Step 5: Do You Need To Replay MP3s?
A small number of DVD players are capable of playing back MP3 files. These are generally players at the low end of the market. No brand name player is capable of MP3 playback. If playback of MP3 files is essential to you, then you will severely limit your choice of DVD player. It goes almost without saying that if you require a DVD player to play back MP3 files that you should make sure that it can read CD-Rs.

Step 6: Do You Need Multi-Region?
The ability to play back DVDs from anywhere in the world is a significant advantage to you as a DVD consumer. With over 7,000 DVDs available in the US, and less than 1,000 available in Australia, you deny yourself the opportunity to access many DVD titles if you purchase a machine that is not region modifiable. Whilst you may not be keen on having your DVD player modified now, it is wise to ensure that you purchase a DVD player which can be modified down the track if you so desire. Fortunately, the great majority of DVD players that are available today are able to be modified.

It seems that everyone is sporting the tiny cameras. Now I’m not sure which way to go… How about you. If you were to give me advice on a new camera, which way would you point me??

First Service Guy… “Now I’ve seen everything” he mutters.

Window Guy… “Well, that has never happened before.”

Do you have any idea how many times I have heard those words. Problem is… no one does anything about it.

The window guy assures me that it is because the house is settling. Like whoa there. People have been building houses for zillions of years. Windows simply don’t pop out and fall to the ground… He didn’t have anything to say to that.

Well, he did give us a temporary window and promised to be back tomorrow with the proper window.

We shall see.

Next month we have hired an inspector come in and take a really good look at the house for year end. I can’t wait for his list of what’s wrong with it. That means I will have a ton of service guys under foot yet again. You know I’m getting about this close to getting everything fixed and then selling. And it won’t be a brand new house this time.

I’m still waiting for the day when doctors can simply run a scanner across your body and heal from above. I’m sure it’s coming… (ever optomist that I am) But until then, I at least prefer to know what’s going on and where I am! I have heard too many scary stories, not to want to know!
