I was just reading an article about organizing your kitchen and keeping it neat. That lead me to wonder what kind of character you could build (for your next novel) if he or she had the untidiest kitchen you could ever imagine. As I write this about a zillion possibilities are popping into my mind.
What about a serial killer?

Britt and I have gotten into the habit of going for a walk each morning. It’s cold and I hate it, but I’m kind of glad that we did. No one else seems to be out and yesterday we stopped at one of our neighborhood parks and we had it all to ourselves. We sat on a bench, watched the clouds for a while and even checked out the playground equipment.
When was the last time you actually sat on one of those bouncy animals and not felt like an idiot? Luckily there was no one around lol…
Don’t know what I’m going to do when my landscaping daughter goes back to work in the spring. I’m kind of liking the company!

No one has a right to consume happiness without producing it.
Helen Keller
I never quite thought of it in that way. I wonder what I can do today that would produce a little happiness for someone else?? Cook something… nah, that would probably just make them feel miserable!

That is a tricky question. If someone was to ask you right this very minute, what would you be able to truthfully tell them. To be honest, I am a very goal oriented person, so I’m always looking at what I need to accomplish next. Is this normal as it just might mean that I’m never satisfied.
What are your thoughts on the topic??

Such a boring topic I know, but I find that if you take a few minutes to review your schedule each day, you get a lot more accomplished by the end of the week. And that means a sense of accomplishment. People are always asking me how I pile so much into my day and it’s all because of how I schedule things.
But, I make sure that I also leave time for play!! No play makes people awfully boring!

I am imagination. I can see what the eyes cannot see. I can hear what the ears cannot hear. I can feel what the heart cannot feel.
Peter Nivio Zarlenga
What would life be with it?? But I have to ask… have you lost some of it along the way? I seem to have had tons when I was a kid, but somewhere along the line, logic took over. Now that’s hardly fair. I am going to have to set aside a little time for some old fashioned day dreaming. Haven’t done that in a long time either!
What was the last thing you day dreamed about?

Well actually the idea of managing your time could apply to everyone, not just the writer. I guess the more I think about it, the more I realize that it’s not about managing time so much as learning to manage ourselves. That is the key and I noticed it even more so while on holiday. I am definitely a person who is governed by routine. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing!

Anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody’s power, that is not easy.

I really can’t imagine how there are people out there who don’t like shopping?? And especially like this time of year, but I have to admit, Britt and I were at the mall on Thursday (I missed a day!!) and we saw so many women who obviously weren’t having a good time. Now tell me, what is there not to like?? You shop, you have lunch, you shop some more, you have coffee and then you might even decide to go out for dinner to top off the entire night.
But Britt and I were good on Thursday. We actually decided to go home for dinner. G was on a business trip, so he would never have known lol… But we did go home and made a salad and Monte Christo sandwiches.
Thank God for a daughter who likes to cook! ;) And here’s to many more shopping days before Christmas!

Can’t help it, when December hits, all I can think about is shopping. Actually, I have been doing it all year long, but you always find just one more think that would be just perfect, and for today, I found just a few little extras that I wouldn’t mind keeping. Yes, I have a habit of buying stuff for myself too! I have been very, very good this year!!
