I was just reading an article about organizing your kitchen and keeping it neat. That lead me to wonder what kind of character you could build (for your next novel) if he or she had the untidiest kitchen you could ever imagine. As I write this about a zillion possibilities are popping into my mind.
What about a serial killer?

That is a tricky question. If someone was to ask you right this very minute, what would you be able to truthfully tell them. To be honest, I am a very goal oriented person, so I’m always looking at what I need to accomplish next. Is this normal as it just might mean that I’m never satisfied.
What are your thoughts on the topic??

“Welcome to the most unusual artifact to be discovered on the Superhighway de la Informatique : the really big button that doesn’t do anything. Developed in early ‘94, labelled as the Mystery Spot of the Internet, thousands flock to this button every day, pushing it, attempting to get it to do something; all in vain.”
Yes, even after reading all of the comments about a button that doesn’t do anything, I still had to go and press it… twice just to see! Are you going to press it??

Big shots are only little shots who keep shooting!
Christopher Morley
Ask anyone who knows me… I have absolutely no patience what-so-ever and when I want something, I want it now. I don’t want to wait for anything!
In a way, I suppose that is a good way to be. To some degree, my lack of patience has paid off in the past. When I want something, I don’t stop until I get it. I make things happen!
But, I am going to write down this quote and stick it up on my bulletin board. It won’t stop me from going after what I want, but it just might help with the patience issue. :)

“The former Spice Girl has been offered the chance to host a US TV show, but since being dropped from the England team David’s obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) has got worse and his wife fears he is too vulnerable to be left alone.
A source told Britain’s Closer magazine: “This is a hard one for Victoria. Career breaks like this don’t come along often, but David and her boys mean the world to her. The fashion world respects Victoria so this show could be huge.”
Someone tell me why this is so hard? Because you are a celebrity, family no longer comes first? The only thing that occurs to me is the fact that is there a chance that everyone could move to the U.S. so Victoria can take the job but still be close to her family?
What are your thoughts on the situation? If you were offered big bucks, could you find a way to make it work?

I was just reading that it isn’t a good thing to stay in your comfort zone, but at the moment, that is about the only place I feel safe. ;) You know about my falling windows and the update a day later . I have no idea what is coming next. So at the moment, I like things to stay in neat little boxes. I’m not big on change right now.
Ask me next year, and I might feel completely different. But here’s something. Through all of the problems with the house, I still haven’t had a cup of coffee! I just realized that!!

Did you know that over a lifetime, you will have eaten about 35,000 cookies! I don’t know who sits down and figures out stuff like this, but I want the job. I wonder what kind of metabolism you need for that many cookies??
Thanks to Cassie

“Experience may not be the only thing you’re gaining at work: your morning coffee stop and the office candy dish may play a role in how many pounds you put on. Avoid office temptation with these easy steps.”
I work at home and I think that it’s even harder when you have an entire kitchen at your disposal. That’s why I only bake on Fridays and by Monday, anything sweet has been devoured. If it’s not at your fingertips, you aren’t quite so tempted.
The Steps!

Well, it’s day three and I’m miserable. At least I was until I saw the message from Deb L… thank you, thank you, thank you.
At the moment I’m trying this gel (that you apply every night) and there seems to be a little improvement. But the idea about the straw is worth checking out as well. Yes, it is the front teeth that I’m most concerned about. If I can get them white again, maybe I won’t have to give it up afterall. Fingers crossed. I do miss my coffee!!
I’m so used to having a cup at breakfast and then again at 3 pm… I’m not sure that giving it up is worth it. Vanity sometimes sucks!
Thanks again Deb!!

I never gave this any thought until I read it this morning. Do you have a tendency to fill a smaller glass to the brim with a beverage, but pour less into a taller glass? Research at Cornel University seems to point in that direction! I wonder if the smaller glass gives you a false sence of security?
I’m going to have to do my own experiment. I’m going to fill one of my shorter glasses with water and then pour it into a tall glass… just to see what the difference is! And, as you can see in the photo, the shorter glass is also wider. Hmmm. That could make a big difference in calories!
