Today’s Weird Holiday – It’s Backward Day

That’s right, today you do everything backwards… which reminds me of my dad. He used to hate the fact that he would never have room left for dessert, so one day, he decided that he would eat dessert first and then finish with whatever mom had made for dinner.

Guess he decided that every day would be his “backward” day… at least when it came to dinner. And it worked for him!

The Thanksgiving Table

I know that you could use your regular dishes, but there is just something special about getting out holiday dishes that you only use once a year. Yes, I know that it is decadent, but I still want them anyway!

So, here’s an idea. I could use them for our Thanksgiving in October and then again when I celebrate your Thanksgiving later this month. So, you get a two for one special! And what’s wrong with giving thanks… twice a year!

Chillingly Chic Chair Wraps

Now doesn’t this look deliciously spooky? I’m very tempted to try it out on my living room and then invite Jamie and Carolina over for dinner. Well, we will have to see. Carolina doesn’t know us all that well yet, and she might think that we are too weird for words. But you have to admit, wrapping the diningroom chairs in scarlet velvet and then finishing off each chair with a chandelier crystal is quite fitting for this month!.

Need directions??
