Well, as you are reading this, I’m in Port Charlotte, Florida and I’m still on vacation. I have about another week so I’m still awfully happy to be soaking up this gorgeous weather. But I have five more things to be especially happy about. Here goes…
1. I have my own pool to play in. I’m thinking strongly about looking for a way to stuff it in the trunk and bringing it home with me.
2. I have gone shopping just about every single day since I have been down here.

The thing I wanted most for Christmas was not inside Santa’s giant bag. What I wanted more than anything was one silver bell from Santa’s sleigh.

Can’t help it, when December hits, all I can think about is shopping. Actually, I have been doing it all year long, but you always find just one more think that would be just perfect, and for today, I found just a few little extras that I wouldn’t mind keeping. The three of us bundled up last night and went for a walk. Britt and her dad were interested in burning calories after dinner, I was looking for a little bit of Christmas decorating inspiration. None of us are too keen on climbing up and stringing lights, and that seems to be all I saw last night. I would have expected this one to come in sometime during December, but apparently not. Today’s is Brandied Fruit day, which leads me to the question, just how stuck on fruit cake are you? I for one can’t imagine a Christmas going by without a big Christmas cake for dessert. And it has to have marzipan and tons of nuts.
