Everyday Calm
Most of you know by now, that I spend my day writing about… something. I actually write 6 different blogs for b5media. Just in case you haven’t noticed, I have Aging Fabulous, Her Accessories, Shopaholics Daily, Weary Parent, Southern Byways and the one you are presently reading!
And that means that I have to come up with material each and every day for every single one of them. You have no idea how many people have asked me where I get my ideas from and to be quite honest, I get them from everywhere. Like today for example, I sat in a mall with a cup of coffee (yes, I’m drinking coffee on Fridays now) and people watched. Before I finished that cup of coffee, I had outlines for 6 posts. It was that easy!
And then there are my bookshelves. Have I ever told you that I collect books? I just invested in new bookshelves for this house and I actually have some empty shelves! Suddenly I have room for more books. Anyway, I thought that I would tell you about one of them with this post! It’s called, Everyday Calm! That’s a picture of it up there on the left.
Yes, with my schedule, I need all the techniques I can get my hands on to… stay focused. With so many blogs to work on each day, it is easy to become overwhelmed and find that suddenly, you can’t think of a thing to write about. So, here’s the page that I went to today. It’s on page 34! It’s called Two Minute, Midday Calm. For me, that means that I have to let go all of those ideas that are whirling around in my head, get up from the desk and go and sit by the window and simply relax for a couple of minutes. That’s all there is to it, but you would be amazed at how refreshed you feel afterward. And I always come back to my desk with new ideas?? And that’s just from looking out the window!
Even if you aren’t a blogger, taking those two minutes to yourself each day is definitely something that you should be doing for yourself. It simply does a body good!
