It's Hard to Make a Difference When You Can't Find Your Keys: The Seven-Step Path to Becoming Truly Organized

I was just over at Blog Fabulous where the topic of the day was about organization and email housekeeping in particular. No, I wasn’t sure what that was either until I started to read about it. Apparently people don’t seem to get around to answering or deleting their emails. That drives me nuts. At one point I had 5000 emails and while most of them were garbage, there were still sitting there taking up space and making it incredibly hard to find something when you need it. I have definitely spent way too many hours looking for one elusive email before finally throwing up my hands in digust. Why can’t I be more organized!

Well now all but the last two hundred emails get flushed every morning. All the good stuff gets sent into folders for quick access.

Now there is a downside to all of this. A few weeks ago a co-worker was talking about a message that she had that was over three years old. She insisted that it was great fun to re-read some of the good ones. You just can’t win for losing!

And losing keys… don’t even ask. Caffeine withdrawl ??
;)
