My Stamp on Things

My Stamp on Things

Hi there,
Just wanted to pop in here and say hello. I’m officially taking over Daily Jots from Adelle Tilton and hope that I can do as great a job as she did. I often found myself wandering over here to see what words of wisdom she has left for us, and I will be doing something similar. I’m a big fan of thinking outside the box and have to admit it often has my family grinning.
My daughter has actually started a notebook of weird/dumb things I have come up with. I guess this is sort of like a baby …read more

Courage Whilst Facing a Peanut

Courage Whilst Facing a Peanut

“No man in the world has more courage than the man who can stop after eating one peanut.”
Channing Pollock
Those of us in the Baby Boomer generation can remember the Cowardly Lion daring us to eat only one potato chip. So courage changes. One generation it is one thing, the next it is another.

“In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.”
Albert Camus (Consider how thinking outside of the box, is an act of courage in, and of, itself.)

Divine Mercy In My Soul

Divine Mercy In My Soul

“When I look into the future, I am frightned,
But why plunge into the future?
Only the present moment is precious to me,
As the future may never enter my soul at all.
“It is no longer in my power,
To change, correct or add to the past;
For neither sages nor prophets could do that.
And so, what the past has embraced I must entrust to God.
“Oh present moment, you belong to me, whole and entire.
I desire to use you as best I can.
And although I am weak and small,
You grant me the grace of your omnipotense.”
Sr. M. Faustina Kowalska
