Wow! I mean… Really – Wow!!
“We are star stuff. We are the universe made manifest trying to figure itself out.”
Delenn from Babylon 5 (Hey, its SciFi – they talk a lot about the universe!)“Once you can accept the universe as being something expanding into an infinite nothing which is something, wearing stripes with plaid is easy.”
Albert Einstein
I have seen one before and Lord willing, I’ll see one again. But all I can say after watching the Web cast of that solar eclipse, is wow! How small we all are. When God puts on a show, everybody watches!!
I hope you were able to watch the Web cast. If not, check out your news tonight and the sites from yesterday’s posting. I believe they are going to have replays of the event. (Sounds like a baseball game – it was way better than a baseball game.)
I couldn’t help but think how small we all are, how big the universe really is and how it is so totally out of our control. To me, that eclipse was the architecture of a Divine Mind – something we can’t even begin to grasp the edge of what it all means.
I only have two quotes. And they are woefully inadequate. Watching those solar flares and what they called the “Diamond Ring,” was amazing – the feeling is still there.
I hope I never lose the enthusiasm, the sense of wonder, and the totally ridiculously excited feeling about things like the totality of a solar eclipse.
You can still see the “replays” of the eclipse. Visit Exploratorium and watch the eclipse as if you were there. It really is cool!

[...] I covered the eclipse over at Daily Jots. Go take a look because you can see the archived films – watch it as though you were really there! They did a great job on this Web cast. [...]
