It’s lovely to simplify your life.  All of a sudden your priorities change and you see what is important.  Do you know why?  Because you have more time!  You aren’t racing around doing things that don’t really matter!

This posting from “Aging Fabulous,” is a perfect example.  It is about women and cosmetics.  As a woman leaves her teens, she learns more about her own inner beauty and how to enhance it.  And that skill is even more important as her 30s, 40s, and 50s come along.  Less is more when it comes to cosmetics and the beauty of the feminine face.

What does this have to do with enrichment?  Any place in your life that can have extra expense and time shaved off of it will enrich you.  This is such a truth when it comes to beauty because we need to do those things that make us feel good about how we look, yet we need to keep it in perspective. 

Every woman wants to be beautiful but think about the really beautiful women you know.  Aren’t they beautiful because of inner values that control their lives? Enrich your beauty and enrich your inner life at the same time. 

It’s time to go through that make-up bag or box!

• Throw out everything that you haven’t used in awhile (for health reasons, if nothing else).
• Line up everything you use.  The things for evening, put aside – they don’t count because those aren’t everyday things in the first place.

The rest?  What do you really need?

• Do you need three or four bottles of foundation?  Which one treats your skin the best? 
• Do you need a foundation at all?
• Do you need four different mascaras?  You can only wear one at a time – choose the one that enhances your eyes, doesn’t itch, is affordable and stays in place, then toss the rest. 
• Keep a red, pink, and plum lipstick.  You don’t need the others.  And keep ones that stay on! 
• If you don’t have it, invest in a white eyeliner pencil and use it on the lower inside rim of your eyes to whiten the whites and make you look more alert. 
• A good lip conditioner is good for days of no lipstick and certainly while you sleep. 
• And never, ever, go one minute of your life without moisturizer, no matter if you are 20 or 60.

Most importantly, remember something.  You have an inner beauty that shows through.  No cosmetic designer can top that!  And with that simplification to your life, feel yourself being enriched!
