That’s all you have… twenty minutes to kick back and do just what you want to do. So, what’s it going to be? Believe it or not, I actually have a book about that very topic. Yes, I do collect a lot of books and sometimes I even open them up to see what they are about!
I just noticed that it’s listed for $2.99! I just looked at the back of the book and I paid $18.95. Guess I should have waited!

Dad’s Very Favorite Dessert – December 29th
Actually he had a lot now that I come to think about it, but his very favorite had to be Boston Cream Pie… which was really a cake. Sometimes strange things happen. You think about something and then suddenly it falls into your lap… like this bit of history.
“Boston Cream Pie – The name Boston Cream Pie is believed to be a misnomer as it’s really a cake. The “pie” instead of “cake” may be due to the fact that colonists used to bake their cakes in pie tins as they did not own cake pans. The first …read more

Yoga For Your Back – December 28th
Thinking out loud here… I’m not sure I like the idea of practicing Yoga for someone with an aching back, but after reading the short article I think that I know where I went wrong.
I did not use a group session like the women in the study. I tried following a video, so chances are, I was not in the proper position and only made my back pain worse. Today’s Writing Tip
As you know, at the moment I am vacationing in Florida and it occurred to me that the best way to describe something is to take advantage of your surroundings. For example, it has been rather windy the last couple of days and I took the time to watch how the wind affects the palm trees. I could have described them the way I thought that the wind would affect them, but it would be nothing even close to what I would write now that I actually watched them. For example, I really never thought of palm trees looking soft …read more

Leave It To Beaver… The Very First Toilet – December 26th
Don’t ask me why this stuff appeals to me, because I haven’t a clue, but I was looking for something a wee bit unusual and I found this!
“The first toilet ever seen on television was on “Leave It to Beaver”.
I used to watch that show every afternoon while making the kid’s lunches. Just had to love Larry Mondello. That kid sure loved to eat!

And that gadget up there… it’s a nutmeg grinder. Do you have any idea how much work is involved in grating a nutmeg. And it’s murder on your fingers, but is sure tastes good on a mug of eggnog! Hope you are having a great Christmas Eve by the way…
