I Know I’m an Optimist… I’m a Mom !!

Thought of the Day:
“The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails.”
William Arthur Ward (A Christian Author & Teacher)

Thinking Outside of the Box:
My daughter told me the other day that I was a pessimist. She added that I needed to think more positively about things. I can’t remember what we were talking about but I know I am the eternal optimist. (After all, I still think that she will stop making comments like that one, uninvited!) But actually, I realized, when I found this quote I am a realist. A realist with a dash of optimism. I think that when we think within the box, we become pessimistic. The odds are so often against us. But if we think of other ways to solve problems or be creative, we become optimistic, full of hope and we leave the box behind. Of course, it is wise to make some plans to enable those nice positive things to happen; a little realism never hurt anyone!

A Last Thought:
“The basis of optimism is sheer terror.”
Oscar Wilde
